Tournament Bar

It was suggested that we find a bar with drink specials for people who
want to hang out and watch some football on Sat in lieu of a party. The
one Britt found was:

Third Base Sports Grill and Bar
2174 Salem Rd, Conyers
770.918.2133

They have $1.99 drafts and they mentioned something about souvenir glasses.

Britt will also bring flyers to the captains meeting. For those that need help getting to Third Base, there will be directions on the flyer.

Schedules, Caps

Ok, I've got all the scheduling ironed out and posted on the score reporter. Women's and mixed divisions may not be seeded yet, I'm not sure. The order of the games and where they're played is correct however.

There is also an Excel version of the schedule located
here.

Timeout, Time Cap and Hard Cap Rules
All pool play games to 13, win by 2. One time out per half. Time cap goes on 70 minutes into the round. Finish the point and add two to the highest score. Hard cap goes on 80 minutes into the round. If either team leads by two or more goals the game is over immediately. Otherwise, finish the point. If the score is tied at the end of that point, play one more point. If the score is not tied, the team with the higher score is the winner. Once the time cap goes on, it is no longer a 'win by 2' situation. There are no timeouts after the time cap.

All elimination games are to 15, win by 2. Three timeouts per game, with a maximum of two timeouts per half (aka "1 and a floater"). Time cap goes on 80 minutes into the round. Finish the point and add two to the highest score. Hard cap goes on 95 minutes into the round. If either team leads by two or more goals the game is over immediately. Otherwise, finish the point. If the score is tied at the end of that point, play one more point. If the score is not tied, the team with the higher score is the winner. Once the cap goes on, it is no longer a 'win by 2' situation. There are no timeouts after the time cap.

Directions, Captains Meeting

Directions to the fields are located on the GIHP website here.

A map of the complex is available here.

We're in Area 14, "The Glen". From Centennial Olympic Pkwy take a right onto Gees Mill Rd and an immediate left into the Horse Park. Follow the driveway around the Grand Prix stadium and down the hill. The fields will be on your right. There should be plenty of signs directing you where to go. Parking areas will be marked. Parking along the perimeter of the fields may be allowed.

OFF SITE CAPTAIN'S MEETING AT 7AM!
Due to the Horse Park rules about food and beverage "sales" we are forced to have an off-site captains meeting. We will meet at the Rockdale Square Publix located just off of I-20. The address is 1910 Georgia Highway 20 SE. This meeting is where we will distribute the fruit, bagels and water for the weekend. This is also where you will turn in any outstanding waivers, dues and entry fees.
